AI Overviews : l’IA de Google est coincée en 2024:
Un utilisateur de Reddit a partagé il y a quelques jours la capture d’écran d’une AI Overview répondant à une question bien innocente : « Is it 2025? » (« Est-ce qu’on est en 2025 ? »). La réponse est, disons, assez surprenante : « Non, nous ne sommes pas en 2025. L’année actuelle est 2024, et aujourd’hui, c’est le 27 mai 2024. L’année 2025 est dans le futur, et la date actuelle est le 27 mai 2024 ».
Pour l’année, c’est complètement raté, en revanche le jour et le mois tombaient juste… mais c’est bien insuffisant ! Interpellé sur les réseaux sociaux, Google a rapidement corrigé l’erreur et désormais la même question donne la bonne réponse même si cela reste toujours un peu alambiqué (« Oui, selon les informations fournies, l’année actuelle est 2025 ».)
L’entreprise a expliqué à Android Authority que « comme pour toutes les fonctions de recherche », l’entreprise apportait des améliorations constamment. « [Nous] utilisons des exemples comme celui-ci pour mettre à jour nos systèmes. ». Selon Google, « la grande majorité des AI Overviews fournissent des informations utiles et factuelles, et nous travaillons activement sur une mise à jour pour résoudre ce type de problème. »
